See what steady investing can add up to
A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) puts a fixed amount into a mutual fund every month. Over long periods, compounding means the gains start earning gains of their own, which is why time in the market matters so much.
Use this calculator to compare scenarios: a bigger monthly amount, a longer period, or a yearly step-up as your income grows. Remember that markets fluctuate and actual returns will differ.
Frequently asked questions
How is SIP growth calculated?
Each monthly instalment grows at the monthly rate (yearly rate ÷ 12) until the end. The calculator adds them up, assuming you invest at the start of every month.
Are these returns guaranteed?
No. Mutual fund returns go up and down with the market. This is an estimate to help you plan, not a prediction or investment advice.
What is a step-up SIP?
You raise your monthly SIP by a fixed percentage every year, usually as your income grows. Even a 10% yearly step-up makes a big difference over 15–20 years.
What return should I assume?
Many people plan with a conservative figure and check how the result changes at higher and lower rates. Past returns don’t guarantee future returns.
