PNG to JPG, right in your browser

PNG files are great for screenshots and graphics, but they are often several times larger than a JPG of the same picture. Many upload forms, job portals and older apps also accept only JPG.

This converter turns your PNG into a JPG in a second. JPG doesn’t support transparency, so any see-through areas are filled with white, which is what most forms expect.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PNG files uploaded when I convert them to JPG?

No. The conversion runs in your browser on your own device. Your image is never sent to a server, so it stays private.

Why is my JPG so much smaller than the PNG?

JPG uses lossy compression designed for photos, while PNG stores every pixel exactly. For photos the difference is usually invisible but the file can be 5–10 times smaller.

What happens to the transparent background?

JPG can’t store transparency, so transparent areas become white. If you need to keep transparency, convert to WebP or keep the PNG.

What quality should I choose?

The default of 92% looks the same as the original for almost every image. Lower it to 75–85% if you need a smaller file.
